
Robusta is the second of the two main coffee species, and often the more “commercial” and less expensive of the two species. High productivity and farm efficiency are critical determinants of Robusta profitability. Robusta commonly is used for decaf since it is a stronger flavored bean and can withstand the decaffeination process.
